.In Ancient Celtic Times Sovereignty was symbolised by our Celtic Goddesses, in later medieval times it rested with Kings and Princes, thence Parliaments became more the focus for popular Sovereignty. This Sovereignty rested greatly on the fact that it was Parliaments that made laws and it was these laws which made the nation a Soveriegn reality in practise, and Monarchy was reduced to mere symbolism. The Bother about the Arch Bishop of Canterbury has really raised up a controversy which might be to the advantage of our Cymric Cause if Alanindyfed as his way, who seeks a Campaign for Restoration of our ancient Medieval Welsh Laws. Of course brought up to date, so do not worry your head about the ''Bad Bit'' as beating your wife with a stick as thick as your finger, so give Alan your support. One thing that has been brought to our attention is that both the Jewish and Muslim communities engage in their own laws in certain areas, as long as there is mutual agreement to do so observe, and stand by the judgements given. There are TV programmes that work on the same basis, all this in mind, perhaps in similar circumstances, maybe certain Native Welsh Laws could be applied? We need patriots who are very interested in such matters, and who know about laws to give this matter some serious attention and deep thought. I would suggest to Alan that he calls a Conference at Canolfan Hywel Dda to discuss such matters and possibly launch a campaign. Of course we need to consider any legislation in matters of legal interest considered at Senedd Glyndwr in Mehefin 1404, now read on the following item sent out by Alan dated Friday, 8 February 2008.

British law has come into focus recently with the remarks of a Welshman, Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury. There are many irregularities in British law which discriminate against different sections of society and an overhaul is necessary, though it is doubtful that this will happen. The laws of Hywel Dda were of great benefit to the people of Wales hundreds of years ago and did not discriminate, as they were based on traditional morality and religious values. The contemporary move into a secular British society does not take into account many of the eternal values which govern human communities, particularly now that Britain has become an increasingly multi-racial, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society, and there is certainly a need for these concerns to be addressed. This is what the Archbishop is pointing to, and why he has raised this question and brought it into the arena of public debate. The people of Wales should reflect on whether British law and justice is entirely suited to their needs and the circumstances of Wales, or whether Welsh laws, as those of Hywel Dda, modified to suit present conditions, should be applied to the nation.
